I am a first generation Kashmiri-American, born and raised in NY and now settled in Verona, NJ. 

In 2017 I tried ceramics for the first time and fell in love with clay. I loved how different it was from what I had been doing for so long.

I loved getting my hands dirty and seeing how a simple lump of clay could be transformed. This past year I've started teaching throwing at Indigo Road Studio in South Orange, NJ.

It's been such an amazing experience being surrounded by a positive clay community that encourages one another along the way. I’m excited to pursue this next stage of my pottery journey.
